In the month of February, join us in championing Inclusive Education

This month, join BCCL in championing inclusive education. Inclusive classrooms not only support students with intellectual disabilities but also create richer learning experiences for all. When schools, parents, teachers, and students embrace inclusion, the entire community benefits.

At BCCL, our Service Coordinators and Early Childhood Education ( ECE) Resource Consultants promote inclusion by believing that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive together.

Our ECE Resource Consultants:

  • Provide information and strategies to child care providers and families
  • Collaborate with child care providers to foster a positive learning experience for all children
  • Offer resources and support to families
  • Work together with child care providers to develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs)
  • Partner with other professionals to ensure holistic support
  • Assist families with school transitions

Stay tuned this month as BCCL highlights the significance of Inclusive Education!

Historic funding disparities between the developmental services and other sectors

BCCL has joined forces with other agencies as well as Community Living Ontario to advocate for an immediate 5% increase to base funding for developmental service providers as well as families (SSAH &Passports).
Historic funding disparities between the developmental services and other sectors such as health and education are having a critical impact on this sector.
BCCL and other agencies across the province have been writing to and meeting with local MPPs and the Minister of Children Community & Social Services to make our voices heard.
Please join us in these advocacy efforts by clicking on the image below and a post card will be sent in your name.
